A narrator's story is disrupted by the main character (Panda) who refuses to play the part.

Mr. Panda is making something, and all of his animal friends are interested, but only Penguin is willing to wait to see what it is.

Children see a variety of animals, each one a different color, and a teacher looking at them.

Hugo the dog becomes the star of an all-animal band after learning to play his best friend Hector's fiddle, and despite Hector's jealousy, remains grateful to the man who gave him his start.
